Our Story

Sacred Earth Soaps at the Cathedral Village Arts Festival

Sacred Earth Soaps is the extremely soothing and fresh-smelling love child of Laura Forrester and Jordan Fieseler.

Based in Regina, Sacred Earth was born in 1998 out of a whim and a booth at the Cathedral Village Arts Festival.

Laura began experimenting with soap making soon after becoming a mother, combining simple and natural ingredients that she would feel comfortable using on her own family. After selling out her entire inventory at the Arts Festival, Laura realized there was a market for an alternative to mass-produced soaps. Together with her partner Jordan, they expanded the product line from soaps to a full line of skin care products, bath bombs, beeswax candles and more. Today Jordan takes care of soap making duties, but both are active partners in production, development and marketing.

Over the last 22 years, Sacred Earth Soaps has become a part of the community, developing long-term relationships with customers and donating their product to organizations like Carmichael Outreach. In 2013 Sacred Earth Soaps was selected as official suppliers of the JUNO Awards Host Committee. Their unique creations are now available at close to 20 stores in Saskatchewan and the Regina Farmers' Market, as well as online. Sacred Earth products can even be found at Regina’s Atlas Hotel.

Sacred Earth’s emphasis on simple and natural ingredients – many of them harvested wild* in and around Regina – reflect their commitment to quality and community. They continue to expand their use of certified and fair trade organic ingredients, hoping to bring a little more light to your day.

the Sacred Earth line of products

Our unique creations are now available at many craft sales as well as the Regina Farmer’s Market and numerous local stores.

Over the years we have increased our product line, adding shampoo bars, beeswax candles, and a full line of skin care products.

All of our production still takes place in our home, and since Sacred Earth’s creation we have never wavered from our commitment to truly natural ingredients. We continue to focus on increasing our use of organic and fairly traded ingredients while at the same time doing our best to keep our prices reasonable.

Thanks for your interest in our family’s business. We hope you enjoy our products!

A Little More About Laura & Jordan

Which television shows should you binge watch with your Sacred Earth Soaps?

Laura and Jordan recommend a luxurious Lavender Orange with Downton Abbey, a down-and-gritty Black Licorice for Shetland, and the reliable Patchouli Cinnamon Love Bar for The Last Dance.

What kind of apocalypse is Sacred Earth Soaps right for?

In the event of a Mad Max-style widespread societal collapse, the natural fragrances and refreshing clean feeling offered by Sacred Earth Soaps will make their products incredibly valuable. Spice raiders will roam the landscape, making off with precious stashes of Cinnamon Patchouli Love Bars. It’s likely they’ll become the default currency. In this world, you’re either cowering beneath an overturned tub in a bombed-out house or you’re living large with Sacred Earth Soaps. Choose wisely.

A zombie apocalypse is not a likely event, but if the dead rise up and shamble around in search of living humans to feast on, it couldn’t hurt to offer them a tin of Sacred Earth Soaps Healing Salve. After all, maybe zombies just need soothing ointment on their skin to help calm them down.

Sooner or later, the vampire uprising will come for us all. Lock your doors at night and hang some garlic at your windows. If you desperately need to go out at night when the vampires are roaming the countryside in their velvet capes and ruffled shirts, Sacred Earth Soaps recommends its all-natural Go Away Spray. It does the trick for mosquitoes, so why not the Cursed Mosquitoes of the Night, as vampires are known? If you feel like joining up and becoming one of the undead, slather on a bit of Coconut Pie Lip Balm. You know, for kissin’.
